My studio is PACKED with work this month!!!
For starters I’m prepping for a show June 4th at Liberty Street Brewery in Plymouth, Mi (will update with flyer ASAP), then shortly following that I have 3 craft fairs and another gallery spotlight. I’m not even going to get into the line up for July…let’s just say I foresee the birth of many tens of amazing new creatures, and even more long, caffeine fueled nights with paintbrush in hand.
I’ve also been devoting several hours a day to a custom sculpture piece for a friend of mine in Ypsi. I’m trying to be all sneaky about it, and not reveal the progress to anyone until the leviathan is completed. It is INCREDIBLE; basically it’s a giant carved concrete monster built over and into a mailbox. Nothing like advertising your incredible taste for the bizarre from the road!!!
I feel so incredibly privileged that I am able to stay so busy in the city of Detroit. If I haven’t stated before…I FRICKIN LOVE THIS CITY!!! ❤
